Beth Emeth installs new rabbi

Beth Emeth Congregation will install its new rabbi and cantor, Leo Abrami, at a ceremony to be held 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the synagogue, 13702 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West.

Abrami comes to Beth Emeth with more than 40 years of experience as a rabbi at congregations in Europe, the Caribbean, South America and the United States. He has also lectured and written on topics including the Dead Sea Scrolls, Jewish history and the religious aspects of Judaism.

"I look forward to providing Beth Emeth with the rabbinic leadership needed to ensure the spiritual and intellectual growth of our congregation," said Abrami. "I am particularly excited by the prospect of reaching out to new congregants of all ages from the growing Jewish community in the West Valley."

The installation ceremony is open to all community members. A reception will follow the event. Call 623-584-7210.
