Alisa Rae Bruzonsky, daughter of Karen and Steven Bruzonsky of Gilbert, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 23, 2002, at Temple Emanuel.

Grandparents are Barbara Louthan of Apache Junction; the late William Louthan; and the late Sylvia and Charles Bruzonsky.

Great-grandparents are the late Mae and Charles Louthan; and the late Zelda and Joseph Bruzonsky.

Alisa attends Gilbert Junior High School. Her hobbies include playing the clarinet, dancing, camping, spending time with friends and volunteering.

For her mitzvah project, Alisa volunteered for Friends for Life, an animal sanctuary in Gilbert. She also collected books and Beanie Babies for Phoenix Children's Hospital.



Barry Sheldon Craig, son of Jo Anne and Michael Craig of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Nov. 23, 2002, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Myrna and David Messenter of Sterling Heights, Mich.; Robert and Leslie Craig of West Bloomfield, Mich.; Elaine Mendel-sohn of Novi, Mich.; and the late Robert Mendelsohn.

Barry attends Mountainside Middle School. His hobbies are reading, science, comedy and music.

For his mitzvah project, Barry volunteered for Meals on Wheels, assisted senior citizens in the computer lab at the Jewish Community Center in Oak Park, Mich., and participated in a dog-walking event to raise funds for the American Liver Foundation.



Ashley Nicole Singer, daughter of Shelley and Howard Singer of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 23, 2002, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Moya Thorson and John Thorson, both of Albert Lea, Minn.; and Arlyne and Leonard Singer of Skokie, Ill.

Great-grandparent is Alice Singer of Sun City.

Ashley attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies include cheerleading, singing, dancing, softball, basketball and spending time with friends.



Zachary Sam Baumayr, son of Marsha and Michael Baumayr of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Nov. 23, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Vicky Baumayr of New York City; the late Hans Baumayr; and the late Harriet and Rubin Rachman.

Zachary attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobbies include soccer, baseball, singing in a choir and he loves animals.

For his mitzvah project, Zachary volunteered at Phoenix Mountain Nursing Home.



Amanda Nicole Adler, daughter of Helaine and Mitchell Adler of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 23, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Adele and Albert Adler and Ruth Glueck, all of Phoenix; and the late Charles Glueck.

Amanda attends Mountain Sky Middle School. Her hobbies are dancing, theater and travel.

For her mitzvah project, Amanda served dinner to families at the Ronald McDonald House.



Jennifer Michelle Weitz, daughter of Lorna and Matthew Weitz of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 23, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Marion and Richard Cohen and Ruth and Marshall Weitz, all of Scottsdale.

Jennifer attends Sunrise Junior High School. Her hobbies include dancing and art.

For her mitzvah project, Jennifer volunteered and danced at several local nursing homes.



Rebecca Lee Powers, daughter of Randi Sweet and Brian Powers, both of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 23, 2002, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Phyllis Sweet of Milwaukee; Anita Powers of Green Bay, Wis.; the late Allen Sweet; and the late Robert Powers.

Rebecca attends Pardes Jewish Day School. Her hobbies include horseback riding, reading and being a junior button collector.

For her mitzvah project, Rebecca was an animal rescue work volunteer.



Arielle June Lothman, daughter of Ilana and Kurt Lothman of Houston, became a bat mitzvah Nov. 16, 2002, at Congregation Beth Shalom in Bellair, Texas.

Grandparents are Lisette and Henry Sontag of Phoenix; Lester Lothman of Houston; and the late Francis Lothman.

Arielle attends Emery Wiener Middle School. Her hobbies include volleyball, swimming, reading, dancing and participating in the Girl Scouts.

For her mitzvah project, Arielle tutored first grade students in reading.



Stephanee Alexa Germaine, daughter of Sherri and Sandy Germaine of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 23, 2002, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are Rita and Ralph Segal and Bernice Germaine, all of Phoenix; and the late Gerry Germaine.
