Lisa Pepper and Mitch Smelkinson, both of Los Angeles, announce their engagement.
Parents of the couple are Linda and Andrew Pepper of Los Angeles; and Elaine and Paul Smelkinson of Phoenix.
The bride-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in cinema/television from the University of Southern California. She is employed by a talent management organization.
The groom-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California Los Angeles and a law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. He is a partner in the law firm of Stone, Meyer and Genow, LLP, in Beverly Hills.
A summer 2003 wedding is planned.
