Lauren Zoe Bruno, daughter of Mara and Doug Addison of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Oct. 12, 2002, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Theda Kolker of Scottsdale; the late Jacob Weiss; and the late Jeannie and Edward Bruno.

Lauren attends Pardes Jewish Day School. Her hobbies include acting, singing, photography, writing, drawing and dancing.

For her mitzvah project, Lauren donated various items to be sent to soldiers in Israel.



Dana Fiszbein, daughter of Lisa and Michael Fiszbein of Gilbert, will become a bat mitzvah Oct. 12, 2002, at Temple Emanuel.

Grandparents are Charlotte and Arthur Fiszbein of Farmington Hills, Mich.; and Lorraine Benedict of Chandler.

Dana attends Mesquite Junior High School. Her hobbies include softball and water-skiing.

For her mitzvah project, Dana put together a presentation board for the Audubon Society to encourage donations.



Joshua Mychal Kuper, son of Mindi and Stewart Kuper of Tucson, became a bar mitzvah Oct. 5, 2002, at Congregation Anshei Israel in Tucson.

Grandparents are Rochelle and Fred Roth of Tucson; Ileane and Mannie Schneider of Scottsdale; and the late Erwin Kuper.

Joshua attends Esperero Canyon Middle School. His hobbies are basketball, baseball and music. For his mitzvah project, he participated in the Congregation Anshei Israel Gilo (Israel) Twinning Program.



Jordan Glaser Kravitz, daughter of Karen and Kenneth Kravitz of Paradise Valley, will become a bat mitzvah Oct. 12, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Mollie and Wallace Kravitz, and Alice Glaser, all of Scottsdale; and the late David Glaser.

Great-grandparent is Evelyn Michaels of Phoenix.

Jordan attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies are playing the flute, ice skating, reading and participating in the Phoenix Symphony Guild.

For her mitzvah project, Jordan formed a group of Jewish children to play musical instruments at nursing homes, hospitals and homeless shelters.



Aliza Michelle Kravitz, daughter of Karen and Kenneth Kravitz of Paradise Valley, will become a bat mitzvah Oct. 12, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Mollie and Wallace Kravitz, and Alice Glaser, all of Scottsdale; and the late David Glaser.

Michael Ian Schwarz, son of Melodie and Steven Schwarz of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Oct. 12, 2002, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Bess Kramer of Scottsdale; the late Rubin Kramer; and the late Inge and John Schwarz.



Arianne Gruys, daughter of Melissa Selbst and Bruce Gruys of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Oct. 12, 2002, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are Adrianne and Mel Selbst of Scottsdale; Hazel Gruys of Albuquerque, N.M.; and Pete Gruys of New Concord, Ky.

Great-grandparent is Morrie Selbst of Hollywood, Fla.
