Arts brief

Temple Solel youth star in local play

Two students from the Pardes School and members of Temple Solel will be starring in a production of David Mamet's comedy "The Poet and the Rent." Lauren Zoe Bruno, an eighth grader, and Nicole Damari, a seventh grader, will be appearing in the Olympic Film Institute's production Oct. 5-13 at The Olympus Theater, 9318 N. 95th Way, Scottsdale.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $10 adults, $5 children 14 and under.
