Rachel D. Ober, daughter of Gail and Ed Ober of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Aug. 24, 2002, at Beth El Congregation.

Grandparents are D'Vorre and Harold Ober of Las Vegas; Fanny Silver of Phoenix; and the late David Silver.

Rachel attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies include art, creative writing, musical theater, reading, traveling and spending time with friends.

For her mitzvah project, Rachel donated her hair to Locks of Love, an organization that makes wigs for children suffering from cancer. Rachel also volunteered at Marcus House, a temporary residence for infants and children after they are removed from abusive environments.



Jamie Ellen Geller, daughter of Mary and Norman Geller of Paradise Valley, will become a bat mitzvah Aug. 24, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Janice Geller of Scottsdale; and the late Ted Geller.

Jamie attends Phoenix Country Day School. Her hobbies include volleyball, basketball, music and dance.

For her mitzvah project, Jamie volunteered for Books for a Better World, an organization that establishes libraries in countries across Central America.



Danielle Sandler, daughter of Dafna and Avi Sandler of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Aug. 24, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Drora and Harry Sandler of Herzeliya, Israel; and Shoshi and Danny Kedem of Haifa, Israel.

Danielle attends Mountainside Middle School. Her hobbies include gymnastics, dance and spending time with friends.

For her mitzvah project, Danielle sent packages filled with treats to soldiers in Israel.
