Jews have transcended terrorism

Editor:
The world has been making excuses for Palestinian terrorists. If we accept any of those excuses, there are no people more justified to become terrorists - with no respect for life - than the Jews.

By these justifications, the Jews have every right to wipe out the Palestinian terrorists and all who support them. And those innocents who choose to live amongst the terrorists must accept the consequences.

But that is not the Jewish way.

From time immemorial, the Jews have been enslaved, vilified, tortured and murdered. They have been excluded from schools, jobs, apartment buildings, hotels and country clubs in every country in the world.

Century after century, they have been an oppressed, occupied people in their own land. In the Diaspora they have been tolerated at the whim of their host countries. Even in Israel, Jews are prohibited from visiting their holiest sites and from defending themselves.

Yet, they have chosen to rise above the hatred. They have shown restraint in the face of madness. They teach their children love, not hate. But be assured, even the most patient will not "turn the other cheek" forever.

There is no justification for the carnage the Palestinians are committing in Israel.
