Albertsons, Inc. has appointed Yakov Yarmove as corporate kosher marketing and operations manager, a new position for the food and drug company. Yarmove will be responsible for managing and implementing kosher marketing programs for all divisions of Albertsons, as well as work closely with division managers, district managers and individual store directors as they implement kosher merchandising activities. Yarmove is a graduate of the Rabbinical College of America and has been involved in kosher marketing at Price Chopper Supermarkets in Schenectady, N.Y.

Robert W. Goldwater Jr. has been named HomeBase Youth Services board chairman. Goldwater, senior vice president of Heritage Bank, has served on the youth services board since 1997. The organization, founded in 1991, strives to provide a safe environment for homeless and runaway youths.

Planned Parenthood of Central and Northern Arizona has elected its 2003 board officers and three board members. Officers are Leon Silver, chairman; Shawn Dralle, vice-chairman; Michelle Ray-Matheson, secretary; and John Cantelmo, treasurer. New board members are Darlene Berry, Kim Clark and Tony Moya.

Cold Stone Creamery recently opened its 30th Valley store at 8787 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 218, Scottsdale. The Scottsdale-based company opened its first store in Tempe in 1988 and has since opened more than 250 stores in 28 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Caribbean.

Suzanne Tracht, daughter of Janis and Sam Tracht of Phoenix, appeared in the July 2002 issue of "Food & Wine" magazine that featured America's best new chefs. Tracht, a self-taught chef, works at Jar in Los Angeles.

Mary Turschmann has been appointed as director of business development for Robb & Stucky. Turschmann will oversee the com-pany's drapery workroom and patio division and is responsible for company merchan-dising and management.

The Oprah Show's Angel Network presented a grant to Camp Harmony in California, a summer camp created by Robin Segal to help children escape homelessness. The award was presented in recognition of "real life angels who are changing lives and creating miracles," according to The Oprah Show Web site. Segal is the daughter of Valley residents Rita and Ralph Segal.
