B'nai Mitzvah

Jeremy David Benson, son of Lisa and Andrew Benson of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Aug. 17, 2002, at Beth El Congregation.

Grandparents are Miriam Pandone of Phoenix; Frank Benson of Delray Beach, Fla.; and the late Pauline Benson.

Jeremy attends Oakwood School. His hobbies include golf and reading.

For his mitzvah project, Jeremy raised money for equipping an ambulance for American Red Magen David for Israel (ARMDI).



Joshua John Schmidt, son of Debra Wollner and John Schmidt of Mesa, will become a bar mitzvah Aug. 17, 2002, at Temple Beth Sholom.

Grandparents are Sylvia Wollner of Los Angeles; and the late Bertram Wollner.

Joshua attends Poston Junior High School. His hobbies include cooking, reading, computers, sports, playing the saxophone and watching Arizona Diamondbacks games.

For his mitzvah project, Joshua initiated recycling at Temple Beth Sholom.
