Obituaries

Rose Tocker

Rose Tocker of Phoenix died July 20, 2002. She was 90. She was born in St. Paul, Minn., and moved to Arizona in 1946. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Gooding of Peoria; sons, Larry of Mesa, Ken of Phoenix and Verne of Glendale; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Services were held at Sinai Mortuary Chapel, with Hazzan Marc Philippe officiating. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to Beth El Congregation, 1118 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix 85021.



Leah Waldman

Leah Waldman of Scottsdale died July 17, 2002. She was 91. She was born in Grusd, Lithuania, and moved to Arizona from Pennsylvania in 1958. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughters, Judith Weiss of Phoenix, and Louise Singer of Los Alamitos, Calif.; sons, Robert of Bethesda, Md., and Lawrence of Phoenix; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Beth Israel Cemetery, with Rabbi Robert C. Klensin officiating. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to Las Fuentes Assisted Living, 7340 E. Sweetwater Ave., Scottsdale 85260.



Alison C. Levy

Alison C. Levy, age 68, passed away July 18, 2002 in Phoenix. She was born in Jefferson City, Mo. and moved to Phoenix 40 years ago from Chicago. She was a local artist for many years in Greater Phoenix and well known in the art community.

Survivors include her husband Dr. Philip Levy; son David (Linda) Levy; daughters Mimi (Manny) Mehta and Amy Levy; brother Roger Hartman; and three grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held Friday, July 19, 2002. Contributions in her memory are suggested to Kivel Campus of Care, 3020 N. 36th St., Phoenix, AZ 85018. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.
