People on the move

The Jewish National Fund recently elected its board of directors. Members are Steve Casselman, Steve Klemow, Adam Nach, Bob Roth, Joe Roth and Mark Widoff.

Michelle Kort, owner of As You Wish Pottery, was recently named Small Business Person of the Year by the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. Kort began the business seven years ago and now has stores in four locations.

Dr. Judith Brandstadter, director of fine arts at the Jess Schwartz Jewish Community High School, will lecture in the art history department of Mesa Community College this summer. Brandstadter is also an adjunct faculty member at Northern Arizona University, where she will conduct a distance learning and interactive instructional television program on trends in contemporary art this fall.

Carol Brokschmidt, a board-certified gynecologist and specialist in women's health issues, has joined Integrative Gynecology, located at 4540 E. Baseline Road, Mesa. Call 480-610-5300.

Stanley Levine of Paradise Valley has been named to The Butler University Board of Trustees. Levine, retired chairman and CEO of International Coating and Chemical Co. in Connecticut, graduated from Butler in 1952 and is involved in multiple professional and civic organizations.

Jewish News Editor Barry Cohen was elected to the executive committee of the American Jewish Press Association at the organization's annual meeting June 6 in Evanston, Ill.
