Amy Lowell-Britt, daughter of Denise and Bill Lowell-Britt of Tempe, will become a bat mitzvah June 22, 2002, at Temple Beth Sholom.

Grandparents are Joan and Irving Lowell of Scottsdale; and Dot Britt of West Melbourne, Fla.

Amy attends McKemy Middle School. Her hobbies include softball.

For her mitzvah project, Amy volunteered at Open Horizons Family and Child Development Center.



David Oberstein, son of Caren and Steven Oberstein of Tempe, will become a bar mitzvah June 22, 2002, at Temple Emanuel.

Grandparents are Anita and Joseph Fishman of South Orange, N.J.; and Alice Oberstein of Flushing, N.Y.

David attends Kyrene Middle School. His hobbies include soccer, baseball, basketball, snowboarding, surfing and collectibles.

For his mitzvah project, David worked on a tzedakah collection project for the Ramapo Anchorage Camp for emotionally disturbed children in Rhinebeck, N.Y.



Gordon David Schwartz, son of Debbie and Mark Schwartz of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah June 22, 2002, at Beth El Congregation.

Grandparents are Patti and Herb Dreiseszun of Phoenix; Jay Schwartz of Chatsworth, Calif.; and the late Susan Schwartz.

Great-grandparent is Josephine Goldstein of Scottsdale.

Gordon attends Ingleside Middle School. His hobbies include baseball, skateboarding, computers and spending time with friends.

For his mitzvah project, Gordon helped distribute gifts at the YWCA women's center during the holidays and plans to make a donation to the Southwest Autism Research Center.



Jill Steffanie Margulies, daughter of Joann and Harry Margulies of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah June 22, 2002, at Har Zion Congregation.

Grandparents are Roselyn and Julius Margulies of Columbus, Ohio; and the late Ruth and Sidney Werfel.

Jill attends Desert Canyon Middle School. Her hobbies include competitive dance, pom and cheer, and band.
