Benjamin Fellner Negley, son of Susan and Brian Schanerman of Phoenix and Janice and Steve Negley of Tempe, will become a bar mitzvah June 15, 2002, at Temple Emanuel.

Grandparents are Eileen and Irv Fellner of Mesa; Wanda Negley of Queen Valley; Paula and Ike Schanerman of Phoenix; and Rita and Virgil White of Dayton, Ohio.

Benjamin attends Akimel A-Al Middle School. His hobbies include playing the trombone and piano and collecting sports cards.

For his mitzvah project, Benjamin raised money for Israel Guide Dogs for the Blind.



Tracy Michele Oppenheimer, daughter of Julie and Randy Oppenheimer of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah June 15, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Lynda and Fred Oppenheimer of Chicago; and the late Edna and Irwin Dvore.

Great-grandparent is Ida Mae Coen of San Diego.

Tracy attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies include soccer, softball, dance, theater and playing the clarinet.

For her mitzvah project, Tracy participated in a musical quintet, playing at various nursing homes and hospitals.



Elissa Michelle Switzer, daughter of Jo and Sheldon Switzer of Phoenix, became a bat mitzvah June 1, 2002, at Beth El Congregation.

Grandparents are Iris and Sandy Switzer and Robert Novick, all of Phoenix; and the late Mollye Novick.

Elissa attends Mountain Sky Junior High School. Her hobbies include dancing with Royal Dance Works Performance Co., writing and talking on the phone.

For her mitzvah project, Elissa danced solo performances for residents at Kivel Manor and shared her dance pictures with them.



Jennifer Rachel Arougheti, daughter of Audrey and Leonard Arougheti of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah June 15, 2002, at Beth El Congregation.

Grandparents are Rhoda Nahmanson of Phoenix; Mollie Arougheti of Sunrise, Fla.; the late Robert Nahmanson; and the late Solomon Arougheti.

Jennifer attends Mountain Sky Junior High School. Her hobbies include playing the flute, gymnastics and spending time with friends.

For her mitzvah project, Jennifer volunteered and donated clothing and school supplies for a back to school clothing drive.



Lauren Jennifer Jacobs, daughter of Barbara Hadden of Scottsdale and Michael Jacobs of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah June 15, 2002, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are Marilyn and Arthur Hadden of Phoenix; and the late Mary and George Jacobs.
