Obituaries

Stanley Kipness

Stanley Kipness of Phoenix died May 31, 2002. He was 69. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Arizona in 1972. He was a retired salesman and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was past president of B'nai B'rith Bowling League and wrote the B'nai B'rith paper.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne; daughters, Vicki Schutz and Beth Rogers, both of Phoenix; sister, Iris Rothstein of Long Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Services were held at Greenwood Memory Lawn. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to B'nai B'rith Herman Lewkowitz Lodge, c/o Sinai Mortuary of Arizona, 4538 N. 16th St., Phoenix 85016.



Janet Pransky

Janet Kotzen Pransky of Calabasas, Calif., died April 25, 2002. She was 66. She was born in Phoenix. She was a paralegal and was a member of Temple Judea in Tarzana, Calif., the Temple Judea Sisterhood, and served on the City Council of Calabasas.

Survivors include her daughter, Della Gray of Laguna Hills, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Services were held in California. Arrangements were by Groman Mortuaries. Contributions are suggested to City of Hope, Central Processing, 1500 E. Duarte Road, Duarte, CA 91010; or Temple Judea - Women of Temple Judea, 5429 Lindley Ave., Tarzana, CA 91356.
