Joshua Setnar Steinberg, son of Pam and Michael Steinberg of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah May 18, 2002, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are Arlene and Milton Setnar of New Albany, Ohio; and Marilyn and Ray Steinberg of Scottsdale.

Great-grandparents are Lena and Joseph Treger of San Diego.

Josh attends Tesseract Middle School. His hobbies include lacrosse, football, playing the saxophone and movie making.

For his mitzvah project, Josh participated in a 25-mile bike ride to raise money for homeless children at the Thomas J. Pappas Elementary School.



Andrea Zara Eisinberg, daughter of Ellen and Lee Eisinberg of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah May 18, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Melvin Harris of Scottsdale; Lyla Gorelick of Boca Raton, Fla.; Arthur Eisinberg of Cape Cod, Mass.; and the late Marcia Harris.

Andrea attends Sunrise Middle School. Her hobbies include writing, volleyball, spending time with friends, shopping and the Internet.

For her mitzvah project, Andrea prepared and delivered meals to the needy and volunteered at the Watkins Overflow Shelter and St. Vincent de Paul.



Benjamin Lewis Shanken, son of Sharon Lewis and Mayor Shanken of Paradise Valley, will become a bar mitzvah May 18, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Irving Lewis of Phoenix; the late Merle Lewis; and the late Pauline and Benjamin Shanken.

Benjamin attends Phoenix Country Day School. His hobbies include sports, computers, music, math, soccer and spending time with his cat.

For his mitzvah project, Benjamin collected almost 600 books to benefit children at Sunnyslope and Desert View elementary schools.



Jillian Sara Fisher, daughter of Debra and Joe Fisher of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah May 18, 2002, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Judie and Herb Schwartz of Calabasas, Calif.; and Shirley and Bernard Fisher of Pittsburgh.



Meagan Lee Hall, daughter of Susan and Jim Hall of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah May 18, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Gladys and Oakley Hall of Slate Hill, N.Y.; and the late Bea and Al Hellman.

Meagan attends Shea Middle School. Her hobbies include dancing and sports.

For her mitzvah project, Meagan handled youth recruitment for the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" event in Scottsdale.



Betsy Jennifer Feuerstein, daughter of Jill and Peter Feuerstein of London, became a bat mitzvah April 6, 2002, at West London Synagogue.

Grandparents are Toba and Stewart Kristal of Phoenix; Lilly Feuerstein of Malmo, Sweden; and the late Leopold Feuerstein.

Betsy attends the Godolphin and Latymer School. Her hobbies include reading, art and singing.



Rebecca Rosenfield, daughter of Margaret and Michael Rosenfield of Mesa, will become a bat mitzvah May 18, 2002, at Temple Emanuel of Tempe.
