Dear President Bush...Dear Mr. Bush,I go to Temple Chai and I'm Jewish. I'm writing this letter to tell you how happy I am for all your support. Thank you for standing with Israel in its fight against terrorism. It really makes me sad to see all the people dying just because of a couple of people. It scares me how lucky I am. Well, that's all I can write now. Thanks for your support. Yours truly, Sarah Small Third Grade Temple Chai Religious School Dear President Bush, I am a 4th grader at the Phoenix Hebrew Academy. I am concerned about Israel because my friend Moshe just moved back there and I hope he survives the war. I hope we win. I trust you to support Israel and not the Arabs. Sincerely, Adam Fishman Fourth Grade Phoenix Hebrew Academy Dear President Bush, I would like to thank you for supporting Israel in its tough times. Israel is struggling to keep itself a state, but the Arabs are strongly against this. I believe that supporting Israel is the correct thing to do, and I thank you for doing this. You have made the correct choice and I support you. Thank you, President Bush, for everything. Sincerely, Arielle H. Nagle and Maia J. Nagle Fourth Grade Temple Chai Religious School Dear President Bush, My aunt and uncle live in Israel. I want them to be safe. I go to the Phoenix Hebrew Academy. From, Jonah Green First Grade Phoenix Hebrew Academy Dear President Bush: I don't think that you realize that the Arabs do not want peace. If they did, they wouldn't send their youth into Israeli buses or Israeli cities and tell them to blow themselves up. I don't think you realize that they will come after anyone who supports Israel. It is not up to you to decide what Israel does and does not do. Israel can fight its own battle. But you must chose sides. Will it be Israel or Arafat? Will you "fight terror" as you said, or not? I am concerned about the children all around the world who watch the news and see these crazy people blowing up a bus or a restaurant. What will they do when they grow up? I am also concerned about Israel. I mean, how would you feel if you were Prime Minister Sharon? How would you react to being alone in an unfair and ugly war? Not only should you support Israel 100%, you also must urge other countries to do the same. Sincerely, Elana Rosengard Sixth Grade Phoenix Hebrew Academy Dear President George Bush, I am writing this letter to tell you how much I admire you and your decision to help Israel. I know that you are a very busy man and I'm not sure that you will actually have time to read this letter. I am Jewish and go to a Jewish school in Phoenix, Arizona. Every day I hear of the attacks and suicide bombings that occur in various parts of the holy land of Israel. I feel tremendous sadness for people who die for no reason. Therefore, I'm thankful that the U.S. is helping. It's very hard to understand that right now the Palestinians do so much harm and they feel like it's justified. When you became president of the United States I was very happy. ... I believe that G-d made you win the election in order to make sure that the United States citizens have a very strong and stable protector when the twin towers fell. When looking back at your tight race with Al Gore, and how long it took to determine the winner, I think that there was a reason that you won. Without you as the president we might not have been able to continue living as we did. At 14, I never once imagined that I would live to witness such a scary and fearful time in history. I have many relatives in Israel and I am very scared for their safety. From time to time I wonder how we will be able to make peace when we are dealing with people who have no problems killing themselves and driving a plane into a building just to make a point of how they hate Americans. Recently I watched 20/20 and saw Barbara Walters travel to Saudi Arabia to talk about the situation and their views on it. The Arabs keep saying how horrible and bad America is, and how Israel doesn't belong to Jews, and meanwhile some say how much they learn from the Koran to "love" the Jews and Christians. I don't know what to think and who to blame but I thank you for being such a great president, and for helping Israel through thick and thin. I am honored to be an American citizen. Sincerely, Yelena Galibov Eighth Grade Phoenix Hebrew Academy |
