Obituaries

Ruth Glick

Ruth S. Glick of Scottsdale died May 1, 2002. She was 82. She was born in Pittsburgh and moved to Arizona in 1997. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis Peshkin of Paradise Valley and Barbara Krupp of Buffalo Grove, Ill.

Services were held in Pennsylvania. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to Alzheimer's Association, 1028 E. McDowell Road, Phoenix 85006.



Evelyn Antonowsky

Evelyn Antonowsky of Phoenix died May 3, 2002. She was 74. She was born in Trenton, N.J., and moved to Arizona 23 years ago from Morrisville, Penn. She was a retired bookkeeper. She was past president of B'nai B'rith-Negev Chapter, past president of C.A.R.I.H., and a member of Beth El Congregation and Beth El Sisterhood.

Survivors include her daughters, Jayne Antonowsky of Philadelphia and Meryl Weiss of New York City; and two grandchildren.

Services were held at Green Acres Cemetery, with Rabbi Michael Wasserman officiating. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to Beth El Congregation, 1118 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix 85021; or Hospice of the Valley, Thunderbird Samaritan Palliative Care Unit, 13620 N. 55th Ave., Glendale 85304.



Lilyan J. Richman

Lilyan J. Richman, age 90, passed away May 2, 2002 in Phoenix. She was born in Chicago and moved to the Valley 25 years ago from Milwaukee. She was a retired credit manager and merchant. She was a volunteer for Good Samaritan Medical Center and the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Research Center.

Survivors include her daughters Judith Ann Fleishman and Carol Richman Gross (Joe); sister Joy Wolf Carter (Ron); four grandchildren, Stephanie Yesko (Orrin), David Fleishman (Marcy), Andrew Gross (Ingrid) and Rebecca Gross; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Sunday, May 5th, in Sinai Mortuary Chapel in Phoenix. Contributions in her memory are requested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014; or the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Research Center, c/o St. Joseph's Hospital, 500 W. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85013. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.



Brent I. Shernoff

Brent I. Shernoff, age 19, passed away May 1, 2002 in Tucson. He was born in Mesa. He was a graduate of Chaparral High School, a student at University of Arizona in Tucson, and a member of Beth El Congregation.

Survivors include his parents Neil and Beth Shernoff, sister Amanda Shernoff, grandparents Solomon and Zelda Newman and Rosalie Shernoff. Graveside funeral services were held Friday, May 3rd in Beth El Cemetery in Phoenix. Contributions in his memory are requested to Israel Now, c/o Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix, 32 W. Coolidge St., Phoenix, AZ 85013. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.
