New political action committee formed

Editor:
Your paper should be commended on working with The American Israel Political Affairs Committee (AlPAC) on the presentation of their annual meeting. It was an outstanding function with more than 500 in attendance.

Several speakers emphasized that Israel's greatest ally is the U.S. Congress. They stated that we can count on our senators and congressmen; they need to be able to count on us.

Pro-Israel senators and congressmen need to count on our vote, our support, and our financial commitment. While each of us can get involved with our Arizona delegation, it is more difficult to show our financial support for Pro-Israel legislators from other states. To solve this problem, the Jewish community has reestablished the Grand Canyon Caucus - a pro-Israel PAC.

The caucus will distribute funds to our friends on both sides of the aisle based solely on their support for Israel. For more information, call Steve Geringer, 602-522-7015; Ron Ober, 602-274-4224; or me, 602-721-4730.
