Rachel Leigh Werner, daughter of Anita and Alan Werner of Paradise Valley, will become a bat mitzvah May 11, 2002, in a ceremony at the Camelback Inn in Paradise Valley.

Grandparents are Seline and Larry Bushkin of Paradise Valley; Shirlee Werner of Las Vegas; and the late Martin Werner.

Rachel attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies include dancing, acting and modeling.

For her mitzvah project, Rachel worked as a peer model for children with autism and communication disorders.



Andrew Simon Gibbs, son of Ellen and Fred Lemberg and David Gibbs, all of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah May 11, 2002, at Beth El Congregation.

Grandparents are Jack Lemberg of Phoenix, the late Rose Lemberg, the late Dorothy and Sydney Levenson and the late Freda and Harry Gibbs.

Andrew attends Madison Meadows. His hobbies include computers, baseball, basketball and Jewish history and culture.

For his mitzvah project, he delivered food and gifts to families with AIDS through AIDS Project AZ.



Talya Michele Sands, daughter of Edee and Larry Sands of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah May 11, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Elayne and Donald Ritten of West Bloomfield, Mich.; and Sylvia and Eugene Sands of Scottsdale.

Talya attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies include music, art, computers and movies.

For her mitzvah project, Talya assembled and delivered baskets of bagels to families, cooked meals and tutored students.



Sarah Elisabeth Trachtenberg, daughter of Leslie and Larry Trachtenberg of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah May 11, 2002, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Marilyn and Harry Trachtenberg of Island Park, N.Y.; and Susan and Irving Cymbler of Pembroke Pines, Fla.



Alexander Matthew Lewis, son of Lori and Bob Lewis of Paradise Valley, will become a bar mitzvah May 11, 2002, in a private ceremony at the Camelback Inn in Paradise Valley.

Grandparents are Seline and Lawrence Bushkin of Paradise Valley; Mortimer Lewis of Phoenix; and the late Geri Lewis.

Alexander attends Mohave Middle School. His hobbies include computers and magic cards.
