Lecture about Polish response to Jews"The Polish Response to Neighbors," with Jan Gross, will be the subject of the fifth event in the Responses to Trauma lecture series beginning 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Beth El Congregation, 1118 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix.Gross, professor of political and European studies at New York University, will discuss his book "Neighbors: The Destruction of the Jewish Community of Jedwabne, Poland," as well as the debate on the fate of Jews during the Nazi occupation and the response of fellow citizens.
