Janet Baratz

Janet Baratz of Scottsdale and Robert Friedlander of Phoenix announce their engagement.

Parents of the couple are Joan and Robert Baratz of Paradise Valley and Shirley and Dan Friedlander of Waukegan, Ill.

The bride-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Arizona and a master's degree in international management from the Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management. She is the director of client services for an international database management firm.

The groom-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in communications and marketing from the University of Arizona. He is self-employed in the financial options industry.

A November 2002 wedding is planned in Scottsdale.

Michelle Greenhill and Michael Raizer, both of Chandler, announce their engagement.

Parents of the couple are Alina and Neil Greenhill of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; and Claire and Marvin Raizer of Calabasas, Calif.

The bride-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in speech communication and a master's degree in labor and industrial relations, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a staffing consultant at Intel Corporation.

The groom-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in construction management from Arizona State University. He is self-employed as a construction management consultant.

A June 23, 2002, wedding is planned in Chicago.
