Miriam Asaki, daughter of Robin and Howard Asaki of Scottsdale, became a bat mitzvah March 9, 2002, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are Nobu and George Asaki of Pasadena, Md.; Al Schlossman of Sun City West; and the late Evelyn Schlossman.

Miriam attends Desert Canyon Middle School. Her hobbies are playing the flute, volleyball, softball and basketball.



Ross Steven Green, son of Susan and Brian Green of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah March 16, 2002, at Har Zion Congregation.

Grandparents are Beatrice Katz of Phoenix; the late Joseph Katz; and the late Florence and Gerald Green.

Ross attends Mountainside Middle School. His hobbies are soccer, tennis, basketball and participating in the Har Zion Chapter of USY.



Amanda Robin Kerzner, daughter of Arlene and Mark Kerzner of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah March 16, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Judi and Edward Kerzner of Ottawa; and the late Sara and Abraham Broitman.

Amanda attends Explorer Middle School. Her hobbies are dancing, singing and watching movies.

For her mitzvah project, Amanda fed the homeless at the Watkins Overflow Shelter and has arranged for family and friends to visit the shelter and prepare a meal for the Monday after her bat mitzvah.



Lindsay Erin Reuben, daughter of Lori and Blair Reuben of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah March 16, 2002, at Beth El Congregation.

Grandparents are Florence Reuben of Beverly Hills, Calif.; Gail and Marvin Levine of Oak Park, Calif.; and the late Leo Reuben.

Great-grandparents are the late Esther and Hyman Applebaum; the late Jeanne and Ben Kronfeld; and the late Rose and Samuel Levine.

Lindsay attends Copper Ridge Middle School. Her hobbies include dancing, arts and crafts, animals and spending time with friends.

For her mitzvah project, Lindsay will sponsor an underprivileged child overseas.



Garrett Nathan Ziff, son of Michelle and Scott Ziff of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah March 16, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Renee and Jules Rossman and Annette and Harvey Ziff, all of Scottsdale.

Great-grandparent is Rose Siegle of Scottsdale.

Garrett attends Sunrise Middle School. His hobbies are tennis, music, playing the drums and watching movies.

For his mitzvah project, Garrett babysat at the temple during services.
