Region's needs will be met

Editor:
I wanted to thank you for your article on Israel Now.

However, the needs of the Hof Ashkelon region will be accommodated first but will likely not require all of the dollars that we raise. As a result, other needs consistent with the goals of the campaign will also be met throughout the country.

Arthur B. Paikowsky
Executive Vice President
Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix

Zerner's message spreading

Editor:
We were very pleased to see the article about Sandra Zerner and her program, "What's so bad about being good" (Jewish News, Feb. 22).

Zerner was the guest speaker at Temple Solel's January meeting of Women of Solel (our Reform sisterhood group). It's good to know that Zerner's message is spreading.

Ceil Siegel
Co-president, Women of Solel

A 'thank you' for festival coverage

Editor:
Now that the sixth annual Phoenix Jewish Film Festival is over, we would like to thank you for the coverage you gave us. Leisah Namm's two stories were marvelous and timely, and helped to bring 2,500 film-goers to the theater to see our seven films (including 300 to the pre-opening dessert buffet and screening).

It proves that Jewish News reaches more Jews in greater Phoenix than any other vehicle in the Valley. You helped make this year's film festival our biggest success to date.

Phyllis and Sheldon Pierson
Co-chairpeople, Phoenix Jewish Film Festival
