B'nai Mitzvah
Dania Miriam Gold, daughter of Pnina Levine and Alan Gold of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 16, 2002, at Har Zion Congregation.
Grandparents are Frieda Levine of Phoenix; the late Irving Levine; Ruth Gold of Clark, N.J.; and the late Harold Gold.
Dania attends the Tesseract School. Her hobbies include art, soccer, ice-skating and dancing.
For her mitzvah project, Dania participated in charity events for American Red Mogen David for Israel (ARMDI).
Melissa Eve Jankes, daughter of Ann and Barry Jankes of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 16, 2002, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Marcia Gorodnick of Sun City West; the late Martin Gorodnick; Leonard Jankes of Sun City West; and the late Dorothy Jankes.
Melissa attends Explorer Middle School. Her hobbies include dancing, shopping and talking on the phone.
For her mitzvah project, Melissa distributed flyers asking for donations for the homeless. She then collected the donations and brought them to a shelter.
Michael Ian Kaminsky, son of Hillary Resnick Kaminsky and Harry Kaminsky of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 16, 2002, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Elaine and Seymour Resnick of Scottsdale; the late Dolores and David Kaminsky; and the late Sylvia Resnick.
Michael attends Sunrise Middle School. His hobbies include music, sports, video games and spending time with friends.
For his mitzvah project, Michael tutored Arrowhead Elementary School pupils during the after-school math program for one year.
Tracy Rebecca Leibsohn, daughter of Rachelle and Eric Leibsohn of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 16, 2002, at Beth El Congregation.
Grandparents are Betty and Mark Leibsohn of Phoenix; Mildred Zoller of New Orleans; and the late Harry Zoller.
Tracy attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies include art, tennis and playing violin.
For her mitzvah project, Tracy collected stuffed animals for distribution to needy children.
Audrey Rose Miller, daughter of Denice and Marc Miller of Tempe, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 16, 2002, at Temple Emanuel.

Daniel Alter Schurgin, son of Cindy and Arthur Schurgin of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 16, 2002, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Libby and Seymour Yarows of West Bloomfield, Mich.; and the late Ruth and Ben Schurgin.
Daniel attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobbies include listening to music, movies, playing video games, playing drums and spending time with friends.
For his mitzvah project, Daniel packaged food for Yad Ezra in Michigan and volunteered at the Watkins Shelter in Phoenix.
Zachary Adam Tonkin, son of Susan Gould Kelley and Michael Kelley of Phoenix and Jim Tonkin of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 16, 2002, at Temple Beth Israel.
