B'nai Mitzvah

Erica Jade Braca, daughter of Bonnie and Victor Braca of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 2, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Sylvia and Richard Gilbert of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Edise and Morris Braca of La Jolla, Calif.

For her mitzvah project, Erica served food at the Watkins Overflow Shelter and started a food drive.



Samuel Charles Paul Hauser, son of Lisa and Brain Hauser of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 2, 2002, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Lenore Tewksbury of Scottsdale; the late George Tewksbury; and Sylvia and William Hauser of Pembroke Pines, Fla.

Samuel attends Sunrise Middle School. His hobbies include basketball and music.

For his mitzvah project, Samuel collected videos for Phoenix Children's Hospital and Kivel Campus of Care. He also collected food for the Juvenile Court Center for needy families with juveniles on probation.



Hillary Hoffman, daughter of Sharon and Jim Hoffman and Syd Hoffman, all of Chandler, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 2, 2002, at Temple Emanuel.

Grandparents are Florence Rose of Freehold, N.J.; Norman Hoffman of Hollywood, Fla.; and the late Sandra Hoffman.

Hillary attends Bright Beginnings School. Her hobbies are dancing and reading.

For her mitzvah project, Hillary served as a math tutor at her school for one year and donated the proceeds to a Sept. 11 relief fund.
