Lecture focuses on Kol Israel correspondent

Three educational and outreach series, sponsored by the Women's Department of the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix, will feature guest speaker Freda Keet at various events throughout the Valley in February. Keet, an investigative journalist and war correspondent with Kol Israel, the Israel Broadcasting Authority in Jerusalem, was one of few women reporters to cover both the war of attrition along the Suez Canal and the Yom Kippur War in Sinai. Keet will present her experiences during the following series:
  • "First Tuesdays" luncheon series, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Kerr Cultural Center, 6110 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale. She will present "The Art of Journalism and Dealing with the Middle East Crisis." Cost is $70.

  • The second series, "Evangelicals and Israelis in Conversation," will be held for the Nashim Lomdot women beginning 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, in a private home. Cost is $36.

  • "Israel's Role in the Public Relations Battleground" will be held during the Northeast Valley Women's Forum, beginning 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at a private home. Cost is $35. Call Esther Cohen, 602-274-1800 ext. 115.
