People on the moveJodi Lieberman has joined the Jewish News as an administrative assistant. Lieberman was formerly employed by Grand Illusion Apparel in Chicago.Geoffrey Edmunds, Valley builder of luxury residential communities and custom homes, was honored by the Arizona State University College of Business at the graduation convocation Dec. 13 with the Distinguished Achievement Award. The award is presented to community leaders who have attained distinction in a profession or field and have made contributions to the development of the ASU College of Business. Joe Campbell, program manager of Arizona State University's KAET-TV/Channel 8, has been named president of the Public Television Programmers' Association. The association helps the Public Broadcasting Service plan the programming schedule and consults on a variety of program issues. Campbell will serve a three-year term. The Southwest Society on Aging has named Mary Lynn Kasunic an SWSA Fellow in recognition of her achievements and dedication to the field of aging and gerontology. Kasunic is currently the executive director of the Area Agency on Aging, Region 1, and is president and CEO of Elderfriends Foundation. Kasunic has also been a pioneer in establishing services for older victims of domestic violence. Dr. Scott Wasserman has opened a medical practice bearing his name at Scottsdale Healthcare's Thompson Peak Medical Center, 20201 N. Scottsdale Healthcare Drive, Suite 250. Wasserman, a board certified internist, specializes in the care and treatment of perimenopausal and menopausal women. Call 480-538-8188. Michelle Lewis has been named director of sales and marketing for Chaparral Suites Resort Scottsdale. Lewis previously served as director of sales and marketing for L'Auberge de Sedona Resort, Poco Diablo Resort in Sedona and executive director of Stuckey & Associates in Sedona. Linda Killmer, finance chairwoman for the Assistance League of Phoenix, was named the new National Assistance League president at the group's annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas. She will serve a two-year term for the group, which recognizes the work of community volunteers. |
