JCRC plans 'Mitzvah Day'

The Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix is sponsoring its fifth annual Mitzvah Day, Sunday, Dec. 9. The daylong program will include service projects benefiting the Valley's Jewish and non-Jewish communities, such as cleaning hiking trails at Squaw Peak Park or wrapping gifts for children in shelters.

Volunteers can participate as a group, family or individually. Mitzvah Day is funded through a grant from the Lodestar Foundation. Jewish News of Greater Phoenix is media sponsor of the communitywide event.

Call 602-274-1800, ext. 147.
