'Arms of Strangers'

The Academy-Award-winning documentary "Into the Arms of Strangers: Stories of the Kindertransport" will air at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, on HBO.

Narrated by Judi Dench and produced by Deborah Oppenheimer, the film combines rare historical footage, period artifacts and modern-day interviews with survivors to chronicle the rescue effort of the Kindertransport.

The film will also air 8 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13; 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16; noon Tuesday, Dec. 18; and 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21. Check local listings for channel.
