UJC raises funds for terror victims
Contributions are still being received for the United Jewish Communities Emergency Relief Fund, established following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Federations across North America have raised more than $3.8 million. With the funds, UJC provides cash assistance to families of the victims for funeral costs, temporary housing and relocation, rehabilitation and day care. To contribute, mail a check payable to UJC Emergency Relief Fund, 111 Eighth Ave., Suite 11E, New York, NY 10011; call (866) 852-4636; or visit the Internet site of the American Liberty Partnership at www.libertyunites.org.
