Obituaries

Doris Rosen

Doris Rosen of Glendale died Oct. 7, 2001. She was 72. She was born in Cincinnati and moved to Arizona in 1984. She was a retired jeweler.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Rosen-Olivier of Austin, Texas; son, Mark of Scottsdale; sister, Joyce Green of Houston; and three grandchildren.

Services were held in Cincinnati. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to Orthopedic Research Education Foundation of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, 6300 N. River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018.



Louis B. Gubin

Louis B. Gubin, age 92, passed away October 4, 2001 in Phoenix. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to the valley 51 years ago from New Jersey.

He was a retired electrical contractor. He was a WWII veteran serving with the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater War. He was a past board member of the Electrical Contractors Association, a member of Navy League, S.C.O.R.E., Grand Canyon Lodge B'nai B'rith and a former volunteer for Camp Charles Pearlstein.

Survivors include his sons Steve (Helen) Gubin and David Gubin; sister Bea Glass; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 7th in Sinai Mortuary Chapel in Phoenix.

Contributions in his memory are requested to American Red Cross Relief Fund, 6153 N. Black Canyon Hwy., Phoenix, AZ 85015.
