Directory 2002 in mail this week

STAFF REPORT
Community Directory 2002, graced with cover art by Phoenix artist Susan Frank, is being mailed this week to Jewish News subscribers.

Under the editorial direction of Leisah Namm, the 13th edition of Jewish News' annual directory has been significantly redesigned, reorganized and expanded.

"Our goal was to present our readers with an attractive and easily accessible way to connect with the Valley's growing Jewish community," Namm said. "For the first time, full color and spot color enhance many editorial features," she added.

The 96-page magazine-format publication lists information on hundreds of community resources in 11 subject areas: religious life; community life; education; kids and teens; lifecycle; seniors; celebrations; arts, culture and Judaica; Israel and abroad; health and fitness; and merchandise and services.

"The directory represents the energy and caring work of every member of our staff," said Flo Eckstein, Jewish News publisher. "Too, we are grateful that so many nonprofit and business advertisers recognize the importance of the directory in reaching our exceptional readership."

The directory is being mailed this week to Jewish News paid subscribers. Every new subscriber throughout the year will also receive a copy.

For additional copies, at $6 each ($9 by mail, including postage and handling), call Jewish News at 602-870-9470, or visit the newspaper's office at 1625 E. Northern Ave., Suite 106. Organizations and real estate agents may buy bulk quantities at a discount.

Later this month, directory listings will be available at Jewish News Web site, www.jewishaz.com.
