Shultz elected board chairman of Arizona Anti-Defamation League

The Arizona Region of the Anti-Defamation League recently announced the election of Martin L. Shultz as its new board chairman. Shultz has been closely affiliated with the ADL for more than 20 years, including serving as chairman of the Society of Fellows for the last 10 years.

"For me this represents a rededication to the mission of this great organization," said Shultz. "Fighting bigotry and prejudice at all levels has always been a cornerstone of my life, personally and professionally. I eagerly look forward to the opportunity to do whatever I can to advance ADL's role in that ongoing fight."

Shultz is vice-president of government affairs for Pinnacle West Capital Corporation. Prior to that, he served as chief of staff to three Phoenix mayors, including John Driggs, Tim Barrow and Margaret Hance.

His current business, civic and community associations include co-chairman of the governor's Transportation Vision 21 task force, board member of Banner Health System, member of the board of directors of Valley Leadership, Inc., incoming chairman of Arizona State University Alumni Association and vice-president of the Phoenix Community Alliance.

Shultz has lived in Arizona since 1953. He and his wife, Linda, have two children, Debbie Ater of Phoenix and Robyn Vizvary of Los Angeles.
