Obituaries

Florence Helfenbein

Florence Helfenbein of Paradise Valley died Aug. 12, 2001. She was 92.

Services were held at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Green Acres Mortuary.



Charna Korson

Charna Korson of Phoenix died Aug. 4, 2001. She was 78. She was born in Philadelphia and was a retired clerk with the state of New Jersey. She was a volunteer at Paradise Valley Hospital, a member of Senior Friends and a member of Paradise Valley Artist Guild.

Survivors include her sons, William of New Jersey, and Michael of California; and one grandchild.

Services were held in Pennsylvania. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary.



Herbert H. Burland

Herbert H. Burland, age 89, passed away August 14, 2001 in Phoenix. He was born in Lithuania and moved to Phoenix four years ago from Florida. He was a retired salesman and musician.

Survivors include his wife Gertrude, son Larry (Helen) Burland, daughters Sandra Indes and Arlene (Robert) Barewin, sister Lorraine (Martin) Schwartz, brother Harold (Estelle) Burland, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held August 16th. Contributions in his memory are suggested to American Tinnitus Association, P.O. Box 5, Portland, OR 97207. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.
