Gan Elohim moves to new spaceDue to the large response to its Friday night services, Temple Gan Elohim in the West Valley will hold future Shabbat services at Dove of the Desert Church United Methodist Church, 7201 W. Beardsley Road, Glendale.The sanctuary holds approximately 650 people, an increase from the room previously used for services at Community Church of Joy in Glendale, which held a tightly packed crowd of 100 at an average service, said Lesley Hafalia, president of the congregation. The first service at the new location will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, with Cantor Howard Tabaknak officiating. The congregation will hold Friday night services, religious school and High Holiday services at the church. Call 623-210-7435. |
