'Jacob's Gift'

A new play, "Jacob's Gift," written by Judith Eisenberg, premieres Thursday, July 19, at On the Spot Theater, 4700 N. Central Ave., Phoenix.

The play focuses on the circumcision ceremony in the family of the Levis, a multigenerational Jewish family. Guests of various backgrounds express their opinions about the tradition.

The play, directed by Tom Noga, runs through Aug. 4.

Show times are 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.
