The Jewish National Fund has moved to 1645 E. Missouri Ave., Suite 110, Phoenix. The new phone number is 602-277-4800.

Hair stylists Erin Essert and Jacki Tatman have moved to Leidan Mitchell Salon & Spa, 4340 E. Indian School Road, Suite 9, Phoenix.

Dan Tavrytzky has been named director of sales for The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, intersection of Greenway Parkway and Scottsdale Road, on the border of Phoenix and Scottsdale. Tavrytzky will be responsible for group sales and sales management staff and bookings for the resort's meeting space.

Stuart Applebaum, president of the retail and wholesale department store union, was elected president of the Jewish Labor Committee at its Biennial Convention, held June 9-10 in New York City. More than 200 Jewish labor leaders and supporters, including AFL-CIO President John Sweeny, Sen. Charles Schumer and Israeli Ambassador Alon Pinkas, met to strengthen ties between the Jewish community and the labor movement. Attending the conference from Arizona were Paul Rubin of Tucson, chairman of the Arizona Chapter of the Jewish Labor Committee; Brandon Budd of Scottsdale, member of the Chapter's Steering Committee; and Herman Brown of Sun Lakes, national representative of the JLC in Arizona.

Herman Chanen, community activist and experienced businessman will be honored at the Dinner of Champions to benefit the Desert Southwest Chapter of National Multiple Sclerosis Society, to be held Sept. 12 at the Phoenician. The Arizona Chapter of the American Jewish Committee has named a new executive board and three new members to the board of directors. Executive board members are: Paul Steen, president; Steven Berger, vice-president; Lawrence Cutler, vice-president; David Engelman, vice-president; Jerry Rosen, vice-president; Evelyn Simmons, vice-president; Evelyn Zeitzer, vice-president; and Jonathan Rosenthal, treasurer. Amy E. Kahn, Matthew Levine and Sara Ziskin are the new board members.

Charles C. Scott, certified divorce planner, presented "Critical Financial Errors in Divorce" at the annual convention of the State Bar of Arizona. The speech was part of the Family Law Section of the State Bar and of the continuing legal education program to keep attorneys in attendance aware of Arizona family law changes.

Judy Mann was appointed first executive director of Synagogue 2000 and began work June 22 in the New York offices. Synagogue 2000 provides people and resources to help synagogues define unique visions, plan strategically for the future and implement change. Mann has served as president and CEO for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, director of development and director of the Center for Encounter with Israel for the Melitz Educational Center in Jerusalem and as executive director of the Milwaukee Jewish Council.

Eddie Matney, executive chef and co-owner of Eddie Matney's Restaurant in Phoenix, will participate in the 15th anniversary celebration at the James Beard House this October. Matney was one of the original chefs in the nonprofit James Beard Foundation and was named "Number One Chef in the Valley" by Phoenix Magazine for two consecutive years.

Steve Meredith has been appointed general manager of Maricopa Colleges Television (MCTV) and will manage the daily operations of the new station, housed on the campus of Scottsdale Community College. Mere-dith formerly served as the executive director of the Maricopa Institute for Arts and Entertainment Technology and as director of vocal music at SCC.

Ward Harris has joined Perlman Architects, Inc., as director of residential design. Harris has a master's degree in architecture and a bachelor's degree of fine arts in historic preservation from Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. He has more than 10 years of residential design experience and has been published in Phoenix Home and Garden, Arizona Foothills Magazine and House Beautiful Home Remodeling.

Jimmy Wojcik has been named executive director of the Maricopa county fair. Wojcik has served on the executive board of the fair for 10 years and served as chairman of the livestock committee. As executive director, Wojcik hopes to create cultural and agricultural events that focus on community youth.
