Obituaries

Celia Keppleman Grey

Celia Keppleman Grey of Peoria died June 7, 2001. She was 90. She was born in New York City and moved to Arizona 41 years ago. She was a retired volunteer for the Jewish Community Center and a member of City of Hope, Hadassah and Temple Beth Israel Sisterhood.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan Charvonia and Barbara Bullas, both of Monterey, Calif.; sons, Michael Kepple of Peoria, and Richard Keppleman of Prague, Czechoslovakia; sister, Florrie Edwards of Florida; brother, Nathan Sonkin of Florida; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held in New York. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to City of Hope, 7900 E. Greenway Road, Suite 207, Scottsdale 85260; or Temple Beth Israel, 10460 N. 56th St., Scottsdale 85253.



Lily Ramras

Lily S. Ramras of Phoenix died June 13, 2001. She was 85. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Arizona 58 years ago. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, George; daughter, Stefanie R. Lipson of Phoenix; sons, Marshall of Ra-Anana, Israel, David of Paradise Valley, Daniel of Seattle, and Jonathan of Salt Lake City; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Beth El Cemetery, with Rabbi Michael Wasserman officiating. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to NA'AMAT USA, 1725 W. Rudolph Fingerhut

Rudolph Fingerhut, our dearly beloved husband & father, who cherished us as we cherished him, died of a massive stroke on June 8, 2001. Rudy was born in Brooklyn, NY, August 2, 1915. The family moved to Phoenix in 1958 & he lived a fruitful, happy, active life & enjoyed 61 years of a great marriage. Rudy will be with us in our hearts forever. After moving to Phoenix, Rudy started working for the City of Phoenix in the property management section of the real estate division. He later became property management supervisor & was involved in the management of properties acquired by the city for its use. He retired after reaching the age of 65. He is survived by his wife Adelle, daughter Nathania S. Elder and her husband Dan, sister-in-law Frances Fingerhut of N. Miami, FL & sister-in-law Sara S. Warshaw of Brooklyn, NY, who was more like a sister to him. Graveside services were held at Beth El Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Bright. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.
