Eileen Fellner of Mesa has been elected to the Arizona Silver Haired Legislature for a two-year term. The non-partisan legislature, composed of 40 statewide elected members who are at least 60 years old, debates and votes on various social, economic and political issues affecting Arizona residents.

Zachary Winograd, president-elect of the Central and Northern Arizona Chapter of the World Federalist Association, has been appointed president of the Southwest Regional Area, which includes Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. His term began June 1.

The law firm of Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, P.L.C. has opened a Scottsdale office, located at 8585 E. Hartford Drive, Suite 200. Principals of the firm are Douglas Zimmerman, Robert Novak, Patrick Davis and Quinn DeAngelis. The new phone number is 480-874-4700.

The Entrepreneurial Mother's Association awarded Cathy Begun of Ahwatukee as the 2001 Entrepreneurial Mother of the Year. Begun, owner of The Elegant Bead and mother of two children, was recognized for starting her own business, maintaining a balance between work and home life and her personal growth and accomplishments.

More than two dozen local divorce attorneys have formed the Arizona Academy of Collaborative Professionals to provide divorcing couples with family law attorneys, gender-balanced divorce coaches, financial planning specialists and child specialists.
