People on the moveTemple Solel Sisterhood installed its new board members May 14. Board members are Ceil Siegel and Sherry Siegel, co-presidents; Betty Harris, financial secretary; Doris Schwartzman, treasurer; Gert Baum, corresponding secretary; Rhonda Levine, publicity; Irene Schwartz, Atrium Gift Shop; Merle Weiner, temple board liaison; Mara Addison, Pardes School liaison; and Dana Baum and Norma Rubin, immediate past presidents.Temple Solel installed its new board of trustees and officers at a recent Shabbat service. New officers are Judy Schaffert, president; Andy Abraham, executive vice-president; Marilyn Hawkes, vice-president, program; Jerome Schwartzman, financial secretary; Andy Gordon, treasurer; and Syd Abed, secretary. New trustees are Karin Epstein, Patti Evans, Betty Harris, Sue Hughson, Dick Jacobs, Jane Jozoff, Dean Kaner, Rhoda Levine, Ilene Malka, Barbara Moretsky, Vicki Motzkin, Beverly Raker, Alla Rosenfield and Terre Traister. Auxiliary representatives to the board are Ashley Arak, Gert Baum, Bea Citron, Ceil Siegel, Sherry Siegel and Merle Weiner. Immediate past-president is Lee Harris. Temple Emanuel, through the combined efforts of the Social Action Committee, Temple Emanuel Tempe Youth (TETY), B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (BBYO) and the pre-kindergarten class, raised $5,000 to help refurbish Temple Ner Tamid in the Crimea in the former Soviet Union in time for this year's High Holidays. Mitzvah Day fundraising activities included a rummage sale, bake sale, silent auction and a car wash. The Scottsdale Cultural Council hired Nice Moseley as membership manager on April 23. Moseley, who was marketing manager for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Scottsdale for four years, will lead the organization's efforts in increasing new members, securing membership renewals and developing membership events. David J. Damron, managing partner of Sanders & Parks, announces the addition of Victoria M. Parish, Kristen Ann DeCabooter and Vera E. Munoz to the firm. Parish's practice will focus on public entity defense, personal injury defense and coverage work. DeCabooter practices in the area of health care law, handling medical malpractice of physicians and hospitals. Munoz will also focus her practice in the area of health care law and medical malpractice. C.A.M.P. Consultants has opened its first Scottsdale office at 13269 N. 93rd St. The company provides consulting services in the area of youth and family programming to the camping, hospitality and tourism, educational and recreation industries. Andrea Cohen is principal of C.A.M.P Consultants with more than 15 years of experience in camping and children and family programming. She was formerly the director of Camp Charles Pearlstein in Prescott. |
