Irwin Harris, a lawyer/mediator with more than 36 years of experience and who is certified as a specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of Arizona, has joined ReSolutions, an alternative dispute resolution organization offering mediation and arbitration services. Harris is available to facilitate mediation or arbitration of divorce and post divorce matters, as well as to mediate premarital agreements.

The Law Offices of Harlan J. Crossman, P.C. has changed its name to the Crossman Law Offices, P.C. Harlan and Avery Crossman continue to specialize in Workers' Compensation and representing injured workers. The new offices are located at 3030 N. Central Ave., Suite 801, Phoenix.

Real estate developer Meyer Turken of Turken Industrial Properties donated the services of his roofing team to renovate the roof of the nonprofit Golden Gate Community Center in west central Phoenix. The roof was refurbished and reinforced over a two week period, saving the center nearly $5,000 in repairs.

Local teacher Sam Weiss has been selected to travel to Tokyo, Japan, to participate in the Fulbright Memorial Fund (FMF) Teacher Program. The FMF program has selected 200 U.S. educators to meet with Japanese teachers and students in primary and secondary schools, as well as visit a teachers college, and to promote greater intercultural understanding. Weiss and his fellow participants will visit cultural sites, local industries, and stay with a Japanese family this June. The program is sponsored by the Government of Japan and is administered by the Japan-United States Education Commission (JUSEC).
