People on the moveHeath Blumstein has been named the new endowment officer for the Jewish Community Foundation. His responsibilities will include outreach and programming for the professional community, as well as donor development and promotion of foundation programs. Blumstein has been a staff member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix since September 1998, and most recently served as senior campaign associate.Charles A. Blanchard and Avraham Azrieli have recently joined the firm of Brown & Bain. Blanchard is returning to the firm after a career in government service, including Chief Counsel for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy and General Counsel of the Army. Azrieli received his law degree from Bar Ilan University and formerly served as a law clerk for Yaakov Malz of the Supreme Court of Israel. His writings include "One Step Ahead: A Mother of Seven Escaping Hitler's Claws, Memoir & Biography" and "Your Lawyer on a Short Leash." David S. Dodell, D.M.D., has relocated his general family and cosmetic dentistry practice to 9746 N. 90th Place, Scottsdale. Dr. Dodell was recently appointed as a Fellow to the American College of Dentists. Tracy Reich has been named downtown coordinator of Chandler, and will join the city staff in May. Reich will plan, initiate and coordinate the various programs, projects and activities in the area of downtown redevelopment. Casual Male Big & Tall has opened a new store at Chandler Festival, 2560 W. Chandler Blvd., Suite 5. The chain is a specialty retailer for men. Twelve women received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Women's Leadership Group/American Association of Women in Community Colleges (WLG/AAWCC) of the Maricopa County Community College District. Winners were Maria Hesse, Debbie Thompson, Myra Curtis, Roberta Jeffers, Jean Ann Abel, Susan McRae, Deb DeVore, Heather Anderson, Dorothy Sisneros, Angela Ambrosia, Laura Ruiz-Scott and Ann Lindner. The women were honored during the recent WLG luncheon held at Mesa Community College. |
