New audiobooks

"Envy, or Yiddish in America" and "The Pagan Rabbi," both written by Cynthia Ozick, are now available on audiobook.

"Envy, or Yiddish in America," read by Tony-award winner Ron Rifkin, is the story of Edelshtein the poet, who seethes with jealousy because Ostrover the storyteller is the only Yiddish writer in America whose work is regularly translated and published. Edelshtein plots and staggers through Manhattan, N.Y., looking for a translator.

"The Pagan Rabbi," read by veteran Broadway actor Mitchell Greenberg, is about Isaac Kornfeld, a rabbi who has hanged himself in a park. His old friend pays a condolence call upon the bereaved wife who coldly tells the story of her husband's struggle that led him to that path.

Both novels are on one audiobook. Cost is $29.95 plus shipping and handling.
