Evan Mendelson, executive director of the Jewish Funders Network in New York, will leave JFN this June to pursue her own consulting business, focusing on nonprofit management, board development and strategic grant making.

Steven A. Cohen, of the law firm of Levenbaum & Cohen, has been certified by the Arizona State Bar as a specialist in personal injury and wrongful death litigation. He presently serves on the board of directors of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association.

Fran Green and Sue Cohen, kindergarten teachers at Beth El Congregation in Phoenix, attended the annual California Kindergarten Conference Feb. 23-24 in Burbank, Calif.

Hanna Khleif has been named Director of Catering and Conference Services at Chaparral Suites Hotel in Scottsdale.

The Girl Scouts-Arizona Cactus-Pine Council (GSACPC) has received a $27,000 grant from the Intel Foundation to start a Girl Scouts of the USA/Intel Science Fair Play program in Phoenix, effective in summer 2001. The program is designed to encourage Girl Scouts entering ninth grade to develop their knowledge of science, technology and related skills.

John Zaner has been named executive chef at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa. Zaner will oversee the resort's four restaurants and has a culinary staff of 120 professionals.

DFD Architecture has been selected to design the Zacor Corporate Center that will consist of two corporate office buildings on Camelback Road, west of 28th Street, Phoenix.
