Rockwell paintings come to lifePhoenix Theatre's "A Rockwell Cabaret," which premiered Jan. 25 for an open-ended run, gives those who attend the Norman Rockwell Exhibition at Phoenix Art Museum a chance to see Rockwell's paintings come alive at the theater, 100 E. McDowell Road, Phoenix.The theater has been converted into the barn that served as Rockwell's studio in Vermont. Characters from famous paintings like "Rosie the Riveter," "Girl at Mirror," "After the Prom" and "Triple Self-Portrait" come alive and pay tribute to the human spirit and the work of the man who captured it best. Songs span the generations, such as "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "I'll Be Seeing You," "On the Street Where You Live," "Imagine," "Country Road," songs of inspiration and patriotic favorites. Remaining show times vary. Tickets are limited, call in advance. Tickets are $10 adults, $5 children and students. Call 602-254-2151. "A Rockwell Cabaret" coincides with the exhibit "Norman Rockwell: Pictures for the American People," which runs through May 6 at Phoenix Art Museum, 1625 N.
