The Debra Goldstein Memorial Photography Contest, sponsored by Hillel Jewish Student Center at Arizona State University, will accept entries until April 4.

The contest is open to all Valley undergraduate and graduate students who use the medium of photography to express Judaism in an original manner; portraying images that creatively represent Judaic themes and/or Jewish life.

A brief description must accompany the 8"x10" clip framed color photograph. Photographs - either color or black and white - must be developed from a negative.

First-prize winners receive $500; second place, $250; third place, $100; and $50 each to four honorable mentions. Participants must not be photography or fine arts professionals.

Winning artwork will be displayed at Hillel's annual benefit "Cirque du Hillel," on Sunday, May 6.

The contest is in memory of Goldstein, a former ASU student and professional journalist and photographer. Mail or deliver photographs to Hillel Jewish Student Center, 1012 S. Mill Ave., Tempe 85281.

Call Linda Shapiro, 480-967-7563.
