Learn to stage fight with Childsplay

Childsplay of Tempe is offering a Stage Combat class to youth ages 12-15, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Feb. 12-March 7, at Tempe Performing Arts Center, 132 E. Sixth Street, Tempe.

Childsplay is also presenting a Pero workshop for children ages 6-10, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, or Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Tempe Performing Arts center.

In the Stage Combat class, participants will learn how actors simulate fighting moves and how moves appear real to the audience. Cost is $175 ($160 Tempe residents) and pre-registration is required.

The Pero workshop involves the exploration and creation of puppets, as well as admission to a performance of "Pero or The Mystery of the Night." Cost is $35 ($30 Tempe residents).
