Sam Witkin has accepted a position as CEO of Tel Aviv University's U.S. operations. Witkin is currently the senior regional director of The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a position he will resign from in January.

Dr. Gerald Dorros of Scottsdale and Jackson Hole, Wyo., received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Yeshiva University at the university's 76th annual Hanukkah Dinner and Convocation in New York City. Dorros is medical director of the William Dorros-Isadore Feuer Interventional Cardiovascular Disease Foundation in Scottsdale and Milwaukee.

Mimi Meredith is the new director of public relations and internal communications for Bashas' stores.

Oryx Press, the Phoenix-based information publisher, has been acquired by the Greenwood Publishing Group of Westport, Conn.
