'Rappaport' portrays fight for independence

"I'm Not Rappaport," a production by Arizona Jewish Theatre Company, runs Dec. 30-Jan. 14 at The Playhouse on the Park in the Viad Corporate Center, 1850 N. Central Ave., Phoenix.

Herb Gardner's play, directed by Bob Sorenson, is about two 80-year-olds striving to maintain their independence and dignity.

Tickets are $25-$27.

A New Year's Eve performance and party will be 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31. Tickets are $50 and include silent auction, dessert, champagne and party favors. Proceeds benefit Curtain Call, AJTC's children's company.
