Jewish music

"A Sacred Noise: The New Jewish Music," a program created by the Jewish Theological Seminary and Diva Communications, will air 5 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, on KNXV-Channel 15.

The show focuses on the emergence of Jewish music into mainstream American Jewish culture. The program features artists Frank London, Craig Taubman, Debbie Friedman, Pharaoh's Daughter and Vocolot, who perform their original compositions, as well as reinventions of existing Jewish music.

The documentary also includes commentary from each artist, describing his or her unique connection to Judaism and its musical tradition.
